A double glass with 20mm thickness and 40kg weight needs to be opened upwards. An angle of 165° is formed. Gas springs are used. Four flange bearings carry the entire weight of the system. Alongside with requirements to the design, durability has been a decisive selection factor. The bearings need to resist 100,000 opening and closing cycles in a continuous stress test, so that the system can be liberated for sale in the food industry.
