Problem

The South Korean start-up company's idea was to bring deliveries from convenience stores to customers as directly as possible. There should be no spatial or time restrictions. However, in Seoul, South Korea, there are numerous obstacles for pedestrians, specifically 19 obstacles per 1km. Of course, these obstacles also pose a challenge for the self-driving robot. The company's goal was to develop a robot that could easily handle vibrations, shocks, bumps and adverse weather conditions outdoors.

Solution

To ensure that the self-driving robot remains reliable even under adverse weather conditions and the numerous obstacles in Seoul, the South Korean start-up company relies on products from igus®. ​​​​​​​iglidur® G is used for the joint area of ​​the wheel and the folding mechanism of the robot body during movement. In addition, the drylin® N​​​​​​​ are easily adjustable and enable precise positioning through defined displacement forces. This means that the delivery package in the robot moves out smoothly.
