Tips for the correct use of guide troughs

Guide trough is used in long travels where the e-chain® glides (according to chain type from 5m-12m). They support the smooth low friction operation of the igus® energy chains and energy tubes. If the fixed end is installed at the centre of the travel ("centre-fixed"), the energy chains glide on
themselves for half the travel. For the other half, we recommend glide bars installed in the trough, on which the energy chains glide. Guide troughs have glide bars made of highly abrasion-resistant plastic.
